This image was taken at Hopi Point shortly after
sunrise in Grand Canyon National Park in November,
2000. I had promised my friend and fellow
photographer Sheila a trip to Grand Canyon in 1997,
but things didn't work out that year. I was finally
able to fulfill my promise in November 2000 as we
drove through a snowstorm in Flagstaff, AZ to make
it to this Natural Wonder. We captured this image
on a very chilly morning (I have gotten used to not
ever being cold and this was a big change!) while
standing in about 4 inches of snow and getting
several odd looks from other tourists --Rebecca. |
