I had the opportunity to introduce my friend Sheila (see "Grand Canyon Winter Morning") to Zion National Park in July this year. We spent two great days there and saw some beautiful vistas. This tree was just past the checkerboard at the entrance to the park. The weather was somewhat uncooperative, but when it stopped raining, I was able to shoot this image. I just love the way it is clinging to the rock. Nature always seems to persevere. --Rebecca
