Thunder clouds like these are typically the sign of
a good night for lightning during the Arizona
monsoons. This cloud bank started to light up for
us not far from our home in Arizona. The mountains
in the background tend to keep the monsoon flow at
bay during the hot afternoon, but once the sun sets
the monsoon spills into the valley. We live in such
a location that we can monitor its progress by
looking out our front door. This is one of the
reasons we love living in Arizona!
