Tortilla Flat is a small town on the way from
Phoenix, Arizona to Roosevelt Lake. Now, by small
town, I mean SMALL... population: 6! No that is not
a typo... 6 people live in Tortilla Flat. It has a
restaurant, a convenience store, and a post office
all in one strand of building fronts. There is also
a wash that wraps around the cluster of small
buildings. This image was taken after a short hike
down that wash in an area with rock formations that
for some reason did not seem to remind me of earth!
It's amazing what the power of water and time can
