My favorite color in the fall foliage is, without
doubt, red. The red leaves of the maple trees in
New England always make me think of my grandparents
house in Peterboro, NH because they had several
maple trees that were tapped every spring for maple
syrup. This image was taken not too far from
Peterboro on Purgatory Brook. The exposure was 8
seconds long which is why the leaf in the water (at
the right side near the pine needle) appears to be
moving. It was, in fact, floating in the current on
the side of the stream. I love the detail of the
rocks in this image as well as the contrast of the
red leaves on the brown rocks. --Rebecca |
