This is a view of Kalalau valley that is a bit different from what is normally seen. This viewpoint is from Pu'u o Kila Lookout about a mile away from the Kalalau Lookout. Apparently one used to be able to drive there, but the road is closed and you now have to hike along the road to get there, In my opinion, it is a better viewpoint and I am very glad we decided to walk out to it. There are trails along the rim from that point as well. Well worth the time and effort. --Rebecca |
