Nature's Fury was an impromptu image taken near
McDowell Mountain Park near Fountain Hills,
Arizona. Rebecca and I had been out storm chasing
and thought most of the activity was dwindling off.
Well, the storm was far from over. We pulled off to
the side of the road and set up the medium format
cameras. Rebecca prides herself on not just
capturing lightning, but capturing it in an
artistic way with a well composed foreground.
However, sometimes I'm able to convince her to
simply "shoot the light"! This was one of those
times. She was not going to set this one up due to
the lack of foreground but it worked out. Mother
Nature gave us quite an image - the clouds and
