Southwest Storm is one of Rebecca's most popular
images, perhaps due to the color shift and the
clarity of a sole strike. This dramatic image was
captured on the medium format camera from the side
of McDowell Mountain Road, north of Fountain Hills,
Arizona. The storm was very close and very active,
so we stayed very close to the truck. In fact, we
set up most of the equipment within a few feet of
the truck. Rebecca composed the image based on
where the storm was most active, set the shutter,
and ran back into the truck. We sat inside the
truck while the storm boomed overhead and simply
hoped to capture something. And, so we did. --
