This image shows two distinct lightning strikes framing Arizona's famed
saguaro cactus. This image was taken on a very active evening in August
2001 as the storm was getting closer. Soon after this image was made, we
had to pack up and move on to another location as the lightning was
getting a bit too close for comfort and we also had another storm
approaching from the west. We ended up staying out until well past 1:00
AM that night and we were both pretty tired the next day as it was a
work day. Keith and I always know to be prepared to be tired during
