Framed Grand Teton

This image did not come easy. Rebecca and I had been hiking in the Grand Teton National Park backcountry for two days when we made the climb beyond Lake Soitude en route to the summit on the Paintbrush Divide. This was our first time hiking the Tetons and Rebecca packed in her 35mm camera. As we were trudging up the summit trail, I stopped to look at the surroundings and said "Wouldn't that make a good picture?" Without much of reply other than Rebecca unpacking her camera outfit, I assumed this was a good place to break. This is one of my favorite mountain images by Rebecca just because of the symmetry between the clouds, the trail, the trees, and the mountains. It is also a reminder of a difficult yet triumphant hike at altitude --Keith.
