Having spent 22 years of my life in New Hampshire, I could hardly see
myself not including New Hampshire's best known Old Man in my
portfolio. This image was taken with the 4 x 5 Wista view camera and a
borrowed lens in 1995 during, in my opinion, the best
season of the year. The fall foliage in New England is truly a sight no
one should miss. As an addition, that comment was written when this site first
went online. Since that time, the Old Man of the Mountain has fallen. It was a truly
sad day in New Hampshire history. I wish I could see him again, but I will
always have this image to remind me. --
