Most images of Sedona, Arizona show the dramatic
red rock against a brilliant blue sky for some
wonderful contrast. I think this image really shows
that Sedona is beautiful regardless of weather. I
was travelling with my good friend and fellow
photographer Sheila, who had never seen the magesty
of Sedona. We happened to go on a day that was less
than perfect in the weather department, but the 4x5
came out when we passed this mesa enshrouded in
clouds and fog. This image is one of my favorites
from Sedona simply because it is more muted and
shows the subtle beauty of an otherwise very
