March and April in the Phoenix area are, in my opinion, two of the
nicest months for weather. They also bring some of the most beautiful
flower shows around. I often bring the 4 x 5 view camera to the
Superstition Mountains to capture the contrasting colors of the golden
poppies and purple lupines when they are in full bloom during these
months. This image was taken at the Superstition Mountains at sunset
when I happened to notice the full moon rising over the mountain.
Most often a great image is made because of being in the right place at
