Keith and I often trek into the backcountry of the
National Parks to offer images that are
not available to people that are unable to hike
into these areas. Lake Solitude is one of those
areas that offers significant beauty, but is
unreachable by a significant percentage of the
population. We reached Lake Solitude after a day of
hiking and after setting up our tent about a half
mile from the lake. We then gathered up the camera
equipment and headed up to the lake. I walked
around the lake to find the position I wanted to
shoot from and set up. Keith was enjoying the
breeze and serenity Lake Solitude offers. I was
hoping to have a reflection of the Grand Teton on
the lake, but the breeze was blowing a bit too hard
creating ripples on the lake. The perfect image is
ever-elusive, but I was still very pleased with the
result of this image. -- Rebecca |
