This image was taken on a day trip I took with my
mother in 1995. We decided to take a drive along
the Kancamagus Highway in northern New Hampshire.
The bridge is located just outside of Conway, New
Hampshire in ski country. I climbed my way down to
the river and my mother followed (although she did
so reluctantly as it was a steep slope). I decided,
once again, that I had to be in the middle of the
river to get the reflection I was looking for and
was very lucky to find a small island in the middle
just about where I had to be. I got wet getting
there, but at least I didn't have to stand in the
cold water. My mother kept herself busy by
searching along the river for cool stuff, and found
a great piece of driftwood that she is now using as
a planter. It was a successful day all around.
